Meghalaya CM gives nod for inclusion of 11 more miners for scientific coal mining
Digital Desk: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma clears nod for eleven additional miners who are expected to receive mining opening licenses to begin scientific coal mining in the state soon.
Three miners have already begun extracting coal using scientific mining procedures authorized by the Central authorities, and they are working with difficulties of safe transit, he stated on Tuesday.
"Mining of coal by three (3) miners in the state has started scientifically after the Coal Ministry was satisfied with extracting coal," according to Sangma.
Sangma added to his remark, "According to the most recent information, around 11 more miners are on the cusp of receiving mining opening licenses. I don't know the exact status, but in one or two months, we should see 10 to 11 miners receive clearance to begin scientific mining. They are primarily from the East Jaintia Hills and West Khasi Hills."
