Meghalaya Congress extends support to government over Pahalgam attack
Digital Desk: Meghalaya Congress has extended support to the government over the deadly Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 26 innocent civilians, mostly tourists.
The All India Congress Committee has resolved to support the Government of India in its fight against militants involved in the recent killing of tourists at Baisaran Meadows in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Matthew Anthony, Joint Secretary of AICC in charge of Meghalaya, the incident has deeply saddened citizens across the nation.
The AICC's executive meeting passed a resolution extending full support to the government's efforts to combat militancy.
The party's leadership expressed condolences to the families of the victims and emphasized the need for collective action against terrorism.
In a separate statement, Matthew Anthony also addressed the National Herald case, alleging that the BJP is attempting to tarnish the Congress party's image through politically motivated actions.
Anthony further claimed that the case lacks credible evidence and that the Enforcement Directorate's involvement is an effort to harass the Grand Old party.
