Mizoram: Heroin Worth Rs 35 Lakh seized in Aizawl, Woman Arrested

Digital Desk: The Assam Rifles, in a joint-ops with the Anti-Narcotics Squad of Excise and Narcotics in Aizawl, Mizoram, seized 50 grams of Heroin No. 4 worth roughly Rs 35 lakh and detained a woman involved in the illegal trade. 

The operation unfolded yesterday, February 4, 2025, at the 2nd Battalion Assam Rifles campus in the center of Aizawl. 

The arrested person has been identified as Tingngaihkhawmi, a 40-year-old resident of Ngur village in Champhai district, Mizoram. 

The suspect and the confiscated heroin were turned over to the Anti-Narcotics Squad, Excise and Narcotics, Aizawl, to undergo extra-legal investigations.
