Mizoram celebrates 79th Independence Day with CM Lalduhoma’s speech outlining state's progress

Digital Desk: Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma's 79th Independence Day speech outlined the state's progress under his 'New System' policy, focusing on reforms, technology, and fiscal discipline. 

The policy aims to combat corruption, enhance transparency, and bolster state finances.

The government has implemented several key initiatives, including granting CBI general consent, expanding the Right to Public Services, and launching an upgraded public grievance portal.

Departmental assets are now catalogued, and an Integrity Pact is mandatory for government contracts. These reforms demonstrate the government's commitment to transparency and accountability.

Mizoram has made significant strides in digital innovation, with initiatives like e-Office, e-Ram for land records, digitized ration cards, and online OPD registration.

The state has also introduced GPay electricity bill payments and plans to launch online cab booking and fully digital birth and death registration. These efforts aim to enhance citizen convenience and streamline government services.

The government has prioritized economic growth, with initiatives like the Mizoram Start-up Mission, which supports local entrepreneurs with venture capital.

A new CSR Cell is attracting corporate funding, and project SOPs have been standardized to ensure efficient implementation. The industrial and investment policies will be merged to boost business and promote economic development.
