Rakshabandhan celebration with Nation shield: KV students ties rakhi to soldiers in Belagavi
Digital Desk: Raksha Bandhan is more than just a festival for siblings; it is also a symbol of emotional bonding, as demonstrated by a group of 25 female students from PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya -2 in the Military Cantonment area who celebrated Raksha Bandhan with Agniveers, soldiers, and officers on Friday at the Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre in Belagavi.
The kids, followed by their teachers, went to the Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre. They expressed their deepest appreciation and admiration to the courageous troops and Agniveers of the Indian Army for their contribution to the country.
The students tied handcrafted rakhis around troops' wrists, served snacks, and expressed their love and support for the military forces.
According to school principal Mahendra Kalra, the purpose of this effort was to instill in pupils a sense of respect, discipline, and patriotism, as well as to connect them emotionally with the nation's protectors.
The officers of the Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre praised the school pupils' considerate gesture, adding that such encounters increase troop morale, particularly among those stationed far from home.
The Agniveers stated that receiving rakhis from the youngsters helps them feel cherished and emotionally supported in their contribution to the country.
