Shillong: 41-year-old woman found dead inside restaurant
Digital Desk: A shocking case of suspected murder has been reported from Shillong. A 41-year-old woman was found dead inside a restaurant near the KJP Assembly Building on Friday morning. The deceased woman has been identified as Damonika Laloo.
East Khasi Hills SP Vivek Syiem confirmed that the case is being treated as a suspected murder.
SP Syiem informed that one person has been arrested in connection with the case.
Further investigation is underway to identify and apprehend others possibly involved in the crime.
The deceased woman’s husband shared details about their relationship, stating that they had been married since 2012 but had not lived together for the past four years. He revealed that his wife worked at the restaurant where she was found dead and had been staying there.
Recalling his last conversation with her, Dkhar said he had spoken to his wife just hours before the incident.
The couple has an 11-year-old child.
