Shubman Gill announced as India’s Test Captain ahead of England Tour
Digital Desk: Shubman Gill has been named India's new Test captain, succeeding the recently retired Rohit Sharma, and will begin his term with a five-match series against England beginning June 20 at Leeds.
On Saturday, when the 15-member team was selected for the forthcoming tour, the announcement was formally made.

Gill, 25, is now the 37th cricket player to lead India in Test matches.
Additionally, it signifies that Indian cricket will have three captains for the first time: Rohit for ODIs, Gill for Test matches, and Suryakumar Yadav for T20Is.
