Sikkim: NH-10 will be closed on May 15, 17, and 19 for maintenance

Digital Desk: The National Highway 10, connecting Sikkim and Kalimpong in West Bengal with Siliguri, will be closed on May 15, 17, and 19 for maintenance, citing a notice released by the NHIDCL.

Notably, the roadway will be blocked from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the three dates, according to a notification from the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL).

Tourists using the Siliguri-Gangtok route to get to or from Sikkim may find their plans impacted by the temporary closure.

Every year, landslides and cave-ins disrupt traffic on the NH10, particularly during the monsoon season. Locals and visitors take detours to and from Siliguri during this time.
