TV actor Gaurav Khanna wins first season of Sony TV’s Celebrity MasterChef

Digital Desk: The winner of the debut season of Sony TV's Celebrity MasterChef was bagged by TV actor Gaurav Khanna. Tejaswi Prakash came in third, followed by Nikki Tamboli in second place.

In Friday's last episode, Gaurav lifted the trophy and described the experience as "surreal."

Gaurav, after his win, stated, "And now that I've won, I'm incredibly proud of myself as well as everyone who has ever been labeled a misfit, for everyone who has fallen but decided to get back up, learn, and continue rising until they reach the top. It has been an honor to compete with such amazing and diligent co-contestants, whose enthusiasm and perseverance have motivated me every day. I'm incredibly appreciative of the viewers and show fans, whose love and encouragement gave me the courage and conviction that, when you put your heart and soul into anything, nothing is truly impossible."

"It was amazing to witness how these stars embraced the challenge with passion and humility," comments chef Ranveer Brar.

"Gaurav's transformation on this show was remarkable," says chef Vikas Khanna, who has played a significant role in mentoring the candidates.

"I thought this guy can't cook when Gaurav presented his first dish,  says Farah Khan. It was invincible, and Gaurav's never-give-up spirit later proved me and all the judges wrong. He became unbeatable as a result of his perseverance and diligence.
