WPL 2025: 1st match to kick off between between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Giants
Digital Desk: The third edition of the Women's Premier League (WPL) will begin on February 14 (Friday), with reigning champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) facing Gujarat Giants (GG) at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara.
However, RCB has major injury concerns, with Ellyse Perry (hip) and Asha Sobhana's participation doubtful at this time. Danni Wyatt-Hodge is a strong candidate to become an automatic starter, given that Sophie Devine will not be competing this time around.
Ashleigh Gardner succeeds fellow Australian Beth Mooney as Gujarat's leader. Aside from that, combining Phoebe Litchfield, Laura Wolvaardt, and Deandra Dottin in the same XI will be a major challenge.
