Digital Desk: Dhanashree Verma's lawyer has lately announced that Yuzvendra Chahal and her client have filed for divorce. The lawyer confirmed the proceedings but did not provide any additional information because the case is currently 'sub judice'.
In recent weeks, Dhanashree and Yuzvendra's divorce has been the talk of the town, with rumors stating that the popular social media influencer has requested Rs 60 crore in alimony from the Indian cricketer.
However, according to various media outlets, a family member of Dhanashree has come out and dismissed the rumors as false and warned against spreading rumors or deception.
In response to the incorrect and unverified information, the family stated, "We are profoundly upset by the baseless assertions being spread concerning the alimony sum. Let me be clear: no such amount has ever been requested, demanded, or even promised. These rumors have absolutely no truth. It is quite irresponsible to disseminate such unconfirmed material, involving not only the parties but also their families in unneeded speculation. Reckless reporting like this only harms people, and we ask the media to exercise caution and fact-check before disseminating disinformation, as well as to protect everyone's privacy."
Some stories reported that the divorce was already complete, but Dhanashree's lawyers denied this and stated that no official decision had been made.
"I have no comments to make about the proceedings; the case is now pending. The media should fact-check before reporting, as a lot of misleading information is being circulated," Dhanashree's lawyer Aditi Mohan said in a statement issued to the press on Friday afternoon.
