Digital Desk: Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) has begun the post-mortem examination of Zubeen Garg, a beloved Assamese cultural icon.
For the procedure, a special medical panel comprising four physicians from GMCH, Pragjyotishpur Medical College, and AIIMS has been established. The process is overseen by senior officials from several government agencies, including the health department, Assam Police, and state and district administrations.
To avoid possible crowd-related problems later in the day, the autopsy has been rescheduled from its original 7:30 am time to 5:30 am. Garg will be given a funeral procession to Hatimurha for his last rites after his remains are taken to his Sarusajai home following the post-mortem.
