3 CRPF jawans killed as bus with 23 plunges into gorge in J&K
Digital Desk: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) vehicle was involved in an accident near Kandva in the Basantgarh area of the Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in the deaths of three CRPF officers and the injuries of sixteen others.
Police teams raced to the scene, began a rescue effort, and moved all of the injured personnel to a nearby hospital for treatment, according to Additional SP Udhampur, Sandeep Bhat.
When the bunker vehicle overturned, 23 CRPF members were inside. Around 10.30 a.m., the incident occurred in the Kadwa area as personnel were returning from an operation in Basant Garh. The vehicle is part of the force's 187th battalion.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha of Jammu and Kashmir also conveyed his sorrow. "Depressed over the death of CRPF members in an accident close to Udhampur." On X, he posted condolences to the families and wished the injured a quick recovery, writing, "We will never forget their exemplary service to the nation."
He went on to say that he had instructed top officials to make sure the greatest care and support were provided.
