7 aides of Amritpal Singh transferred to Punjab

Digital Desk: Seven associates of Khalistani separatist leader and Lok Sabha MP Amritpal Singh have been transported to Punjab today, where they will face further judicial proceedings.

All seven NSA detainees associated with Amritpal Singh are being taken to Punjab by flight today under tight security. Punjab Police has secured their transit remand, completing the legal transfer process from Dibrugarh Central Jail.

The associates were flown to Punjab on a special flight, marking a significant development in the case against Amritpal Singh and his associates.

This transfer comes after three associates of Amritpal Singh were handed over to the Punjab police by the authorities at the Dibrugarh Central Jail on Wednesday.

Another associate was handed over on Tuesday, while three others were transferred on Monday.

The associates who were handed over on Wednesday include Daljit Singh, Gurmit Singh, Basanta Singh, and Bhagwant Singh.

However, Amritpal Singh and two of his other associates will remain in custody at the Dibrugarh Central Jail in Assam.

Amritpal Singh and nine of his associates were arrested by the Punjab police in connection with a case registered at Ajnala Police Station in 2023.

The development is part of the ongoing crackdown against Amritpal Singh and his associates, who have been accused of promoting separatist ideology and indulging in violent activities.
