Digital Desk: SN Group of Companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth Rs 380 crore during the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit in Guwahati on Tuesday.

Dr Sanjive Narain, founder of SN Group of Companies and chairman of Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India - Northeast Development Council, has called for greater collaboration between the government and private sector in the healthcare industry.

Speaking on the future of healthcare development, Dr Sanjive Narain stressed the need for a Public-Private Partnership model to improve medical infrastructure and services.

Announcing the expansion of his company’s healthcare initiatives, Dr Narain confirmed plans to establish two new hospitals, which will focus on enhancing medical facilities and patient care.

Dr Narain also highlighted critical issues plaguing the healthcare system, particularly the lack of vehicles for medical emergencies and patient transportation.

He called for immediate action to address the gap.

Additionally, he stressed the importance of mental health, stating that psychological well-being should be prioritized just as much as physical health.

With the upcoming hospitals, Dr Narain reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing healthcare infrastructure and accessibility in the Northeast.
