All Assam Cinema Hall Owners’ Association clears fact and rejects Ticket Price Hike Allegations on Zubeen’s film Roi Roi Binale
Digital Desk: Putting out the enraged viewpoint on a stop, a press conference was held on Monday at Hotel Apollo Grand by the All Assam Cinema Hall Owners’ Association (ACHOA) discussed the ongoing controversy surrounding Assamese films, mainly Zubeen Garg’s most-awaited and recent film Roi Roi Binale, and the growing allegations surrounding ticket price hikes.
The association clearing out the rumours regarding the hike stated, "We are not trying to do business using Zubeen's name, the cost of tickets hasn't gone up. Those who assert that ticket prices have increased ought to confirm the details. Only the number of shows has gone up—not the cost of tickets. People can boycott anyone who has raised prices without cause, although we can't be held accountable for it."
According to the Assam Film Association, as long as Roi Roi Binale is running, no Hindi films will be shown in Assam.
They highlighted the financial difficulties Assamese cinema faces, such as the notable disparity in profit-sharing between Hindi and Assamese films brought on by producers' ignorance.
They also pointed out the effect of non-Assamese representatives controlling the movie theater industry. According to the association, Roi Roi Binale will make history and will be seen several times by fans, even though Hindi films have been released. They anticipate more conversations with distributors and producers in order to prevent Assamese cinema from losing its commercial relevance in its own country.
