Arjuna Awardee and Olympian archer Jayanta Talukdar officially appointed as Assam DSP

Digital Desk: On February 16, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma handed the employment letter to Arjuna Awardee and Olympian archer Jayanta Talukdar, officially appointing him as Deputy Superintendent of Police.

The letter was presented to Talukdar during a felicitation ceremony at Guwahati's Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra.

Speaking at the event, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma commended the archer's outstanding accomplishments and stated that his recognition should have come much sooner.

Furthermore, CM Sarma expressed remorse for the delay in honoring him due to the previous government's activities.
