Digital Desk: According to reports, eight individuals were injured when gunshots were fired during a violent land dispute in the Neomi village, Kra Daadi district, Arunachal Pradesh
Members of two families from the villages of Mangnia and Giba were involved in the altercation.
Two people were injured by sharp weapons and six individuals were shot.
After responding quickly to the incident, authorities airlifted the injured to hospitals in Itanagar and Naharlagun for immediate medical attention.
The incident was verified by Kra Daadi police, who also said that security guards had been stationed in Tali Circle to stop the situation from getting worse.
To ascertain the precise circumstances that led to the violence, a case has been filed and an investigation is presently in progress.
