Sarma stated that the state expects more than one lakh core investment from the investment summit on February 25 and 26, as well as Rs 50,000 crore in infrastructure investment from the Government of India.
Sarma stated that the state government has received various MOU proposals and that before signing them, state cabinets will review all of them.
"Mou will be scrutinized at the cabinet meeting on February 23. Unlike other investment summits, where MoUs are signed first and then approved by the government, Assam will adopt the opposite route, with the cabinet examining each proposal first."
The Chief Minister stated that the present projections do not include key corporate announcements yet to be made by industry giants like Mukesh Ambani and Sajjan Jindal. "We still don't know what Ambani, Jindal, and others will announce—that is their prerogative," he stated.
