Assam: Journalist Dilwar Hussain Mazumdar granted bail by CJM Court in Guwahati

Digital Desk: The Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Court, Kamrup (Metro), granted bail to journalist Dilwar Hussain Mazumdar on Friday in the second case (111/2025) filed against him at Panbazar police station.

Mazumdar was granted bail against handing over an amount of Rs 20,000 as surety. However, despite having obtained bail, Mazumdar will not be released today due to delays in bail bond application, and he will stay in judicial custody for the day.

Additionally, Mazumdar earlier was granted bail in the first case but was arrested again by Panbazar Police on Thursday in connection with his second case. On Friday morning, Panbazar Police raided his Ghoramara home and the enterprise belonging to him.
