Two of the four annual sessions of the Assam Legislative Assembly will take place in Dibrugarh, with the remaining two continuing in Guwahati.

Construction is anticipated to start this year in August or September, with the tender procedure set for May.
Dibrugarh's first Assembly session is scheduled for 2027.
In the meantime, a new Circuit House facility with space for 75 officials is being built next to the Assembly complex.
The Chief Minister also unveiled more comprehensive plans for Dibrugarh's development, which included the creation of directorates and offices for the federal and state governments as well as a number of infrastructural initiatives.
The goal of these programs is to position Dibrugarh as a center for economic expansion and advancement.
