Assam: South Kamrup pays Tribute by constructing a 100-ft-tall Statue of heartthrob Zubeen Garg

Digital Desk: In honor of Zubeen Garg, the Sarpara Friends Club of South Kamrup erected a statue that is 100 feet tall.

The Sarpara Friends Club has been hosting an annual Dussehra celebration on Vijaya Dashami evening for a long time.

However, the organizers canceled all holiday events one week in advance due to Zubeen's untimely death this year.

They decided to honor the singer by creating this tall statue at the same spot in lieu of the celebratory events.

One of the committee members stated, "Even though 90% of our preparations were completed, we chose not to proceed with the celebratory events due to Zubeen's unexpected demise. Instead, this statue was created in only five days as a memorial to him."

He went on to say: "Public prayers will be held for Zubeen over the next two days, and this statue will remain here for four to five days."

Along with the commemoration, a public prayer session will be performed.

Meanwhile, the grounds of Sarpara's R.B. High School have been covered in posters featuring Zubeen Garg's pictures.
