Assam: online teacher transfer applications deadline extended till May 31
Digital Desk: Assam's Department of School Education has extended the deadline for submitting online applications for teacher transfers under the Directorate of Elementary, Secondary, and Samagra Shiksha.
In an official notice issued on May 20, 2025, the government announced that eligible teachers can now register for Single or Mutual transfers using the site http://www.hrmsassam.in until the wee hours on May 31.
This extension follows the prior announcement of May 3, 2025, and the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) dated May 17, 2025.

The transfer process would be governed by the terms of "The Assam Elementary and Secondary School Teachers' (Regulation of Posting and Transfer) Act, 2020" and its associated Rules of 2022.
The department has stated that only online applications will be accepted for transfers, and teachers interested in transferring are advised to apply within the extended deadline.
