Assam BJP's demand for justice for Zubeen Garg sparks mixed reactions
Digital Desk: The BJP in Assam has launched a statewide movement demanding justice for the late music icon Zubeen Garg, who died under mysterious circumstances in Singapore on September 19.
The party's efforts, however, have been met with mixed reactions, with some leaders expressing differing opinions on the matter.
Assam BJP president Dilip Saikia, Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah, and Union Minister Pabitra Margherita have claimed that only BJP workers are the true fans of Zubeen Garg.
They have been organizing rallies and marches, including the "Nyay Yatra", to demand a speedy investigation into Garg's death and a strong, watertight chargesheet against those found guilty.
However, Minister Kaushik Roy has expressed a different opinion, stating that not just BJP workers but millions of fans across Assam are supporters of Zubeen Garg and are demanding justice for his death.
