Assam Cabinet approves regular statute of Bodoland University
Digital desk: The Assam cabinet, led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, has approved the regular statute of Bodoland University, clearing the path for its seamless operation. This decision will ensure effective governance, academic excellence, and expanded research possibilities, empowering students with high-quality education and strengthening the university's role as a regional hub of learning and innovation.
Pramod Boro, Chief Executive Member (CEM) of BTC, praised the Assam Cabinet for accepting Bodoland University's regular statute. He stated that the Assam Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, approved the regular statute of Bodoland University (BU) on Wednesday.
Boro stated that the State Cabinet's key decision will improve the university's governance, develop its academic framework, and provide students with a quality higher education. He appreciated Chief Minister Sarma and the Assam Cabinet for their unwavering commitment to improving BTR's educational landscape.
The cabinet also approved the launch of a web site to ensure 25% seat reservation for economically disadvantaged children in unaided private schools in accordance with the RTE Act.
The Cabinet also sanctioned the use of Assamese Language Teacher (ALT) services in both Assamese and other medium schools for the benefit of students throughout the state.
