Assam HS results report card; Baksa stands at top with 95.21 pass percent rate, while Cachar sets score down
Digital Desk: The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) officially announced the highly anticipated Higher Secondary (HS) Results 2025 today at 9 a.m.
The results for all three streams, Arts, Science, and Commerce, have been declared and are now available to students via the board's official websites and other authorised portals.
This year, 2,26,756 students participated in the Arts stream. A total of 1,84,745 students passed the tests, for a remarkable overall pass rate of 81.03 percent.
There are 49,577 students in the first division, 80,650 in the second division, and 53,518 in the third division.
It's interesting to note that this year, the ASSEB departed from tradition by not releasing a list of toppers.
Female students once again surpassed their male counterparts, with a pass rate of 82.95% compared to 78.42% for male students.
Baksa topped the districts with a 95.21% pass rate, followed by Darrang (93.82%). However, Cachar had the lowest pass percentage in the state, at 58.96 percent.
In the Science stream, 56,909 students took the exam, with 48,309 passing with an 84.88 percent score.
The first division has 25,827 students, followed by the second division with 19,286 students and the third division with 3,196.
Female candidates dominated the race with a pass percentage of 85.54 percent, marginally above male students' 84.39 percent.
West Karbi Anglong topped the way with a 100% pass percentage, followed by Sivasagar (97.13%) and Baksa (95.66%). Dima Hasao finished at the bottom of the list, with 56.27 percent.
In the Commerce stream, 17,746 students appeared, with 14,584 passing, for an overall pass percentage of 82.18 percent.
In the commercial stream, there are 6,519 students in the first division, 5,760 in the second division, and 2,305 in the third division.
Female Commerce students had an 82.40 percent pass rate, which was somewhat higher than the 82.08 percent for males.
South Salmara was the best-performing district in Commerce, with all 11 students qualifying.
The vocational stream had a pass rate of 68.55 percent, with females outperforming males at 74.39 percent versus 65.53 percent.
