Balipara Foundation Launches Naturenomics Collective 2025 with Research Conclave at Gauhati University on 14–15 November

Digital Desk: The Naturenomics Collective 2025, a historic set of initiatives bringing together scientists, decision-makers, communities, young people, and thought leaders to promote regenerative development in the Eastern Himalaya, is proudly unveiled by the Balipara Foundation.

The Collective will integrate research, cooperation, and celebration into a year-long continuum of action, guided by the Foundation's vision of balancing ecology and economy through the Naturenomics principle.

The Naturenomics Research Conclave, organised in association with Gauhati University, will kick off the Collective on November 14–15, 2025.

The Conclave will provide a platform for scholars, practitioners, and researchers to share innovative ideas, case studies, and solutions for community well-being and ecological resilience, with a call for research abstracts and idea pitches.

The 13th Eastern Himalayan Naturenomics Forum (EHNF) with the theme "The Future of the Third Pole and the Eastern Himalaya (Himsagar)" will take place from December 10–11, 2025, continuing the momentum. In order to protect the Third Pole, Asia's water tower, in the face of rapidly changing climate conditions, the Forum will examine the region's crucial water systems, forests, and climate with a focus on cooperative conservation and adaptable policies.

This year, in order to promote youth involvement and research-led solutions, EHNF collaborates with top Assamese universities, including IIT Guwahati, Cotton University, Royal Global University, and Gauhati University, to lead discussions on energy, water, biodiversity, social entrepreneurship, and sustainable land futures.

Through habitat restoration, livelihood innovation, and cultural preservation, the Balipara Foundation Awards (BFA), which culminate on December 11, 2025, will recognise community leaders and grassroots advocates who embody Naturenomics. 167 Earth Heroes have been honoured by the Awards over the past 12 years, encouraging conservation initiatives throughout the area.

The Balipara Foundation continues its mission to bridge science, policy, and community action through these interconnected programs, fostering a regenerative Eastern Himalaya where nature and people coexist peacefully.
