Digital Desk: In remembrance of the late artist Zubeen Garg whose death has left an enduring hole in Assamese and beyond culture, a delegation from the Government of Bangladesh traveled to Zubeen Kshetra in Sonapur on Thursday.
Bangladesh Deputy High Commissioner Preeti Rahman led the delegation, which was joined in Guwahati by Assistant High Commissioner Zikrul Hasan Fahad.
The visiting dignitaries spent some quiet time remembering the renowned artist and paid their respects with flowers at the cremation site.
Rahman said that fans and cultural leaders are grieving for the multi-talented artist Zubeen Garg, who has impacted millions of people in Bangladesh. He also showed support for Garg's family.
Rahman highlighted Garg's enduring influence as a cultural icon and pointed out that his diverse vocals, compositions, acting, and films have a profound cultural and linguistic resonance in Bangladesh and Assam.
