Digital Desk: Airtel has reached an agreement with SpaceX to deploy Starlink's satellite broadband to India. The arrangement is contingent on SpaceX receiving a license from authorities to sell Starlink services in the country.
Airtel and SpaceX will explore collaboration opportunities as part of this agreement, according to an Airtel news statement.
Airtel may sell Starlink equipment in its stores and provide Starlink services to companies. They also intend to employ Starlink to deliver internet access to rural schools, health clinics, and distant communities.

Airtel already uses Eutelsat OneWeb for satellite internet.
Adding Starlink will allow Airtel to expand its reach to areas with little or no internet access. Businesses and people in rural areas will have more options for high-speed connectivity.
