CRPF Assistant Commandant Sagar Borade injured in anti-naxal operation
Digital Desk: CRPF Assistant Commandant Sagar Borade was seriously injured while participating in one of the most dangerous anti-Naxal operations taking place in the KGH Hills near the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border.
According to sources, he was airlifted to Delhi AIIMS on Monday, and his health is currently stable.
This operation was commanded by the elite 204 CoBRA Battalion of the CRPF, and one jawan was injured in an IED blast. Assistant Commandant Borade, who was leading the team, rushed forward to evacuate the injured jawan without regard for his personal safety.
The KGH Hills are thought to be a haven for several of the most wanted Naxal leaders, and the area is highly forested and heavily packed with deadly IEDs, according to the CRPF.
