Covid-19 cases in India spike to 4,302, 44 deaths reported

Digital Desk: On Wednesday, India reported an increase of 276 active Covid cases, bringing the total to 4,302, according to data supplied by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Seven deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours, with Maharashtra recording 4 deaths. Tamil Nadu, Delhi, and Gujarat each reported a fatality, bringing the total to 44.

Gujarat and Delhi had the highest daily elevate, with 64 new cases each, followed by Uttar Pradesh (63), and West Bengal (60). Kerala continues to be the state with the most active cases, followed by Maharashtra (510), Gujarat (461), and Delhi (457).

Notably, as of yet, no Covid instances have been documented in Arunachal Pradesh.

The Kerala Health Department has directed all public and private institutions to comply with the growing number of cases.

In order to assess alertness, mock drills will be held at various institutions. When treating patients with COVID-19 and influenza symptoms, hospitals are required to adhere to the Revised ABC Guidelines 03, which were released in June 2023.

The recommendations place a strong focus on keeping an eye out for warning indicators in adults, including hemoptysis, cyanosis, sleepiness, chest discomfort, and dyspnea.

Furthermore, children should need medical assistance if they exhibit symptoms such as respiratory distress, seizures, feeding difficulty, high persistent temperature, or somnolence.
