Darjeeling (Tripartite Talks) 2nd round scheduled for 2nd April- MP Raju Bista
Digital Desk: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has invited all parties involved in the Terai, Dooars, and Darjeeling hills to the second round of tripartite talks with the Central and West Bengal governments, Darjeeling MP Raju Bista announced.
The meeting will be called by the Minister of State for Home Affairs and will be held in North Block, New Delhi, on April 2, 2025, at 11 a.m.
With a focus on the political, administrative, and developmental challenges brought to light by local stakeholders, the negotiations aim to address the region's long-standing needs.
"Under the leadership of PM Modi and HM Amit Shah, the Union Government has successfully resolved many historic and contentious issues," said MP Raju Bista, who expressed hope about forthcoming talks.
Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, the Union Government has reaffirmed its commitment to achieve peaceful solution and taking a broad approach.
