Delhi Assembly Election 2025: 46.55% voter turnout recorded till 3 pm-reports Election Commission
Digital Desk: Delhi, being the battlefield today, sees a great voter turnout today. Polling for Delhi's 70 assembly constituencies began at 7 am, and at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, the voter turnout of 46.55 percent was recorded.
According to Election Commission (EC) data, 46.55 percent of the electorate exercised their franchise till 3 p.m.
Notably, as per the data, there are 1.56 crore eligible voters in Delhi.
The Northeast area recorded the greatest turnout at 52.73 percent, while the New Delhi district had the lowest at 43.10 percent.
Mustafabad had the greatest turnout of the constituencies at 56.12%, while Karol Bagh had the lowest at 39.05%.
According to EC data, Central Delhi had a turnout of 43.45 percent, East Delhi had 47.09 percent, North Delhi had 46.31 percent, Northwest Delhi had 46.81 percent, Shahdara had 49.58 percent, South Delhi had 44.89 percent, Southeast Delhi had 43.91 percent, Southwest Delhi had 48.32 percent, and West Delhi had 45.06 percent.
Furthermore, as voting in the Delhi assembly elections comes to a close, EVMs and VVPATs are being sealed.
