Digital Desk: IMD (Indian Meteorological Department) issued a red alert for the next two days due to the extreme heat wave that Delhi is currently experiencing, with temperatures rising to 45°C.

To save energy and safeguard the public's health, the government presented its view of outlawing air conditioners that are set below 20°C.

Plans for a harmonized AC temperature range of 20–28°C for buildings and automobiles were unveiled by Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.

Delhi on Wednesday faced severe high tempt, with degrees ranging from 40.9 to 45.0 degrees Celsius across numerous weather stations.

The heat index, which measures how hot it feels when humidity is taken into account, hit a startling 51.9 degrees Celsius.
