Devajit Choudhury appointed as the new superintendent of GMCH Today

Digital Desk: On August 22, Devajit Choudhury was named the new Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Superintendent (VC).

With immediate effect, Dr. Abhijit Sarma is no longer the Superintendent (VC) of GMCH, according to a notification released by the Assam Medical Education and Research Department on Friday.

Prior to this, Dr. Choudhury was the Superintendent (VC) of the State Cancer Institute and the current Associate Professor in the GMCH Surgery Department. The Commissioner and Secretary of the Medical Education and Research Department, Dr. Siddharth Singh, signed the notification.

While Dr. Dwipen Khanikar, an associate professor of pharmacology at GMCH, has been assigned the role of Superintendent (VC) of the State Cancer Institute.
