Director Rajesh Bhuyan, following public outcry, deletes clips featuring accused trio from Zubeen’s dream film “Roi Roi Binale”
Digital Desk: In response to mounting public demand, filmmaker Rajesh Bhuyan has taken a crucial decision on the long-awaited film "Roi Roi Binale," late music icon Zubeen Garg's dream project.
The controversy erupted shortly after the first song from the film, "Mor Mon," was released on Tuesday, October 7. The Musical track, which marked the start of the film's musical journey, sparked great debate throughout Assam after viewers detected the appearance of Shekharjyoti Goswami, one of the suspects in Zubeen Garg's death case.
The inclusion of Sekhar Goswami in the song sparked widespread anger, with fans of Zubeen Garg and members of the general public demanding that all parts involving him be cut from the film.
In response to popular outcry, filmmaker Rajesh Bhuyan declared that he will remove the scenes with Shekharjyoti Goswami, Amritprabha Mahanta, and Siddharth Sharma from "Roi Roi Binale."
"This film is Zubeen's dream, and I sincerely respect the feelings of those who loved him. As a result, we've chosen to remove the relevant clips," Bhuyan said in a statement.
Fans and well-wishers have largely hailed the move, which they see as a tribute to Zubeen Garg's legacy and artistic vision.
