Facebook page of Shyamkanu Mahanta disappears amid investigation into Zubeen Garg's death

Digital Desk: As one of the individuals charged in the ongoing investigation into the death of music legend Zubeen Garg, Shyamkanu Mahanta's Facebook page shows that it's no longer accessible on the social media site.

Furthermore, some of his posts are missing from another of his Facebook accounts, and the comment sections are restricted.

Mahanta, the Chief Organiser of the North East Festival, had posted, "Dear citizens, I'm coming soon," prior to the account being closed down. "I've informed the police already. I'm going to cooperate with the authorities and government to the best of my ability. I'm not hiding anything. I will respond to every query posed by the SIT," Mahanta added.

Utpal Sharma, the central president of the All Assam Students' Union (AASU), asserted that there have been rumors in the local press that Shyamkanu Mahanta has already been arrested in Singapore, which raises question how is he posting on social media that he will be back soon, which makes people wonder if the Assam Police's cyber cell is really that effective.
