Fire at Maha Kumbh, no deaths reported
Digital desk: Today, a fire broke out during the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Several fire engines arrived to extinguish the flames. The fire occurred in Sector 18 of the Maha Kumbh Nagar region.
There have been no casualties reported.
Inspector Yogesh Chaturvedi of Khak Chowk police station stated, "A fire broke out in a tent near Tulsi Chauraha on Old GT Road. However, firemen were able to bring the incident under control.
He stated that fire department officials had arrived at the area to oversee the operation.
The Maha Kumbh Mela saw a similar event last month when a large fire started owing to a cylinder blast, engulfing 18 tents in Sector 19 and injuring one person.
According to officials, 15 fire tenders extinguished the blaze within an hour.
