Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) cases in Maharashtra have risen to 163
Digital desk: According to reports, the number of probable cases of Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) in Maharashtra increased from 158 to 163 on Monday, February 3, 2025. The number of suspected deaths from this disease remains at five.
The State Public Health Department reported that there were 127 verified cases of the rare autoimmune neurological illness on Monday, 28 of whom were on ventilator support.
Thirteen patients came from Pune Rural, eight from neighboring districts, seventeen from Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, 82 from villages recently joined to PMC, and about 29 patients from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).
