Gujarat: Sand-laden truck in Tharad highway flips killing four

Digital Desk: On Sunday, four persons, three women, and a child, were killed when a sand-laden truck overturned and crushed them while they were working on the roadside on Tharad National Highway in Gujarat's Banaskantha district.

The incident occurred during road construction. According to police, the truck driver attempted to navigate a narrow corner, leading the vehicle to topple.

Following the tragedy, rescue attempts began, and the victims' remains were recovered using a JCB machine.

"All of the victims were from Dahod district and had come to the area for work," said a police spokesman.

A further inquiry into the situation is currently underway.
