Guwahati: As part of Advantage Assam 2.0, PM Modi along with 60 ambassadors to watch mega Jhumur dance performance
Digital Desk: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on Saturday that ambassadors from 60 countries will gather in the state for the first time next week to attend a Jhumur dance performance by more than 8,000 youngsters from tea garden areas.
He also offered monetary incentives for all 8,500 participants in Monday's 'Jhumoir Binandini' programme, which will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"On February 24, the 8,500 youths will begin their performance at 5:30 p.m. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister Jaishankar, and ambassadors from 60 countries will be there," Sarma told reporters after assessing preparations at Sarusajai Indoor Stadium.
PM Modi took the post confirming it on X, "On the 24th evening, I will be at the Jhumoir Binandini program in the vibrant city of Guwahati."

The Central and Assam Governments are working for the welfare and will participate in the Advantage Assam Investment Summit on the 25th.
The Jhumur dance performance aims to showcase the rich music and dance traditions of the 200-year-old tea industry. Live streaming will be made in tea garden areas.
Incentives for participants and master trainers will be Rs 25,000 and Rs 30,000 respectively. Additionally, Rs 25,000 will be paid to each tea garden to establish cultural clubs and promote cultural activities.
