Guwahati: Fancy Bazar Dedicates Diwali with traditional Diyas, No Fireworks as tribute to Zubeen Garg

Digital Desk: This year's Diwali festivities in Fancy Bazar will be devoted solely to the memory of the late music legend Zubeen Garg in a heartfelt remembrance. There won't be any fireworks, opulence, or ornamental lighting like in years past.

In observance of Zubeen Garg, the Fancy Bazar Friends Club has declared that they will not partake in any festive extravagance. Rather, on Diwali night, thousands of earthen lamps, or diyas, will be lit throughout Fancy Bazar in his honor.

This year, there won't be any fireworks or flashy lights on any of the buildings in Fancy Bazar, according to the organizers.

Residents have already shown strong emotional support for the initiative, stating that this Diwali will be a time of remembrance rather than celebration.
