Guwahati: Kanya Mahavidyalaya student kills self inside college campus
Digital Desk: A tragic incident unfolded at a college in Guwahati as a second-semester undergraduate student died by s#icide on the college premises on Monday morning.
The victim, identified as Sandipshna Raj, was a BA 1st semester graduate student of Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Geetanagar, Guwahati.
She jumped from the first floor of the college building shortly after arriving for classes.
According to sources, Sandipshna left home at 8:30 AM and reached the college as usual.
However, soon after her arrival, she allegedly took the drastic step. College authorities and fellow students rushed her to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital, where she was admitted in a state of coma.
Despite medical efforts, doctors later pronounced her dead.
Authorities are yet to determine the exact reason behind the suicide, and an investigation is underway.
