HS First-Year Mathematics Exam Postponed at the Last Minute by ASSEB
Digital Desk: In an alarming and unprecedented conduct, the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Division-II, has rescheduled the Higher Secondary (HS) First-Year Mathematics test for March 21, 2025, in the afternoon session. The decision, made just one day before the exam, has left thousands of pupils confused and frustrated.
The official communication from the Controller of Examinations cites "unavoidable reasons" for the postponement but does not disclose the actual explanation.
However, this unexpected event has sparked a surge of speculation among students, parents, and instructors, with many requesting clarification from the board.
A rescheduled exam date will be published shortly, the school board has promised. Students who were nearing the conclusion of their preparations now have to deal with a prolonged period of anxiety and uncertainty.
To make sure that everyone involved is aware and takes the appropriate action, copies of the warning have been distributed to institutional heads, district education authorities, and senior ASSEB officials.
Parents and students are becoming increasingly concerned as there is no apparent reason for the abrupt postponement.
