Himanta Biswa Sarma makes big announcement during Advantage Assam 2.0- Economy of USD 143 bn to rise by 2030
Digital Desk: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Tuesday that Assam's economy would be worth USD 143 billion by 2030, asking investors to join the state's growth trajectory.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the two-day 'Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit' here, Sarma emphasized that the state has transitioned from the "most disturbed" to the "most peaceful" currently.
"The state's GDP growth this year will be 15.2%. The economy will reach USD 143 billion by 2030," CM remarked.
In front of heads of missions and ambassadors from over 60 countries, Assam Prime Minister Sarma assured that the state would provide a conducive environment for establishing industries.
Furthermore, CM Sarma emphasized that the Modi government encourages all states to attract investment and encourages competitive federalism.
Sarma stated that the PM has attended seven business summits in different states since taking over as Prime Minister for the third term to ensure all states join the growth trajectory together.
