India bans 16 YouTube channels from Pakistan
Digital Desk: India has banned 16 Pakistani YouTube channels, including Dawn News, Samaa TV, ARY News, and Geo News, for spreading provocative content and false narratives against India, its armed forces, and security agencies. The ban, also including former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar's channel, escalated India's crackdown on digital misinformation following the Pahalgam terror attack.
The National Inquiry Agency (NIA) is conducting the inquiry into the attack, with senior authorities in charge. NIA teams are questioning eyewitnesses and attempting to identify individuals involved. In the meantime, the Indian Army is still on high alert and is searching for and eliminating the terrorists responsible.
The Pahalgam event has aroused countrywide outrage, with individuals holding rallies in numerous locations. Protesters are calling for strong diplomatic and strategic action against Pakistan over its alleged backing for terrorism.
