Indore couple goes missing in Meghalaya
Digital Desk: A couple from Indore, Raja Raghuvanshi and his wife, Sonam, have gone missing in Meghalaya's East Khasi Hills district. The couple was last seen in Sohra, a popular tourist destination also known as Cherrapunji, on Sunday.
They had rented a two-wheeler to explore the area, but their phones have been switched off since Sunday night, prompting concerns about their safety.
The police have launched a search operation, with teams combing trekking routes and dense forest areas popular among tourists. The couple's rented scooter was found abandoned near Sohra Rim, a well-known viewpoint in the region, leading police to suspect that they may have gone trekking.
Authorities are investigating all possible angles, including checking CCTV footage and speaking with locals.
The Sohra police have set up three search and rescue teams to find the missing couple.
Relatives of the couple have filed an FIR at Sohra Police Station, and the police are working diligently to locate them.
