JAC formed after death of 20-year-old woman from Manipur in Delhi
Digital Desk: A joint action committee has been formed following the death of a 20-year-old woman from Manipur, whose body was found near Maharani Bagh in South Delhi on April 19.
The JAC has called for a thorough investigation into the death of the young woman, which police have initially classified as a suicide.
The JAC has termed the death of the woman from Manipur as suspicious and demanded that it be investigated thoroughly.
The woman who passed away was from Manipur's Bishnupur area, had been residing in Delhi since October of last year, and worked for a BPO firm in Noida.
She allegedly jumped from the terrace of a building in southeast Delhi, according to the authorities.
On April 20, her remains were brought back to Imphal.
The chief secretary and the governor of Manipur have both been urged by the JAC to guarantee a thorough probe into the event.
