Mumbai Airport receives hoax bomb threat, suspect detained
Digital Desk: On Tuesday, Mumbai Police detained a 35-year-old man from the MIDC region and interrogated him over a recent bomb threat at Mumbai Airport.
Earlier in the day, the Mumbai police control room got a bomb threat alleging that the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport would be blown up by 2 p.m. The police and bomb squad teams searched the area but detected nothing untoward.
A case has been filed against the caller, named Manjeet Kumar Gautam. According to the Free Press Journal, Gautam is originally from Uttar Pradesh but now lives in Mumbai's Sakinaka area.
This is the second bomb hoax involving the Mumbai airport in the previous two weeks.
