Nitish Kumar takes oath as Bihar CM for record 10th time
Digital Desk: Bihar witnessed a historic moment as JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar on Thursday was sworn in as the chief minister of Bihar for a record 10th time in Patna.
Senior BJP leader Samrat Choudhary, who has been considered the OBC face of the party, also took oath along with party colleagues Dilip Jaiswal, Vijay Kumar Sinha and Mangal Pandey.
They were joined by JD(U)'s Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Bijendra Prasad Yadav and Shrowan Kumar.
The oath of office and secrecy was administered by Governor Arif Mohammed Khan.
The grand event at the iconic Gandhi Maidan was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP national president J P Nadda and several other top leaders of the NDA.
Chief Ministers of Northeastern states, who are part of the NDA government, witnessed the historic moment.
Notably, the NDA stormed back to power in Bihar, winning 202 seats in the 243-member assembly, with the BJP bagging 89, JD(U) 85, LJP(RV) 19, HAM 5 and RLM 4.
